What started out as a simple project turned into a rebuild of the sunroom due to substantial wood damage uncovered when the old windows were removed.  While many of the problems were unexpected and necessary repairs caused the project to go on longer than expected, Rich Arkey did excellent work in bringing everything up to code and beautifully remodeled. We first contacted him when we were thinking about replacing all the windows in our house. He was the only contractor who had the integrity to tell us that we didn't need to replace the windows, but could take a different and cheaper route to solve our problem. Then we hired him to do a much bigger job--taking out a 16x9 foot wall of windows and replacing it with a giant sliding door onto the deck. He did that install with absolute professionalism. When minor problems came up after install--as they do with any job--he was responsive and explained our options well. There are always going to be delays and unexpected problems, but Rich communicates clearly, explains what is happening, and offers options for how to move forward.
